A turning point on the way to current services was a Nokia led collaboration programme in 2010. It become then quite obvious that new business development in professional business area was not well developed.
Later on it also became evident that start ups and biggest corporations received most attention but needs of small to mid-sized companies and business units of corporations have received little attention.
Further work with those companies and business units revealed specific business development needs they have. This middle layer locating between start ups and large corpotations faces pressures from different directions. Their need to cope with rapid changes ranging from small alterations to current business to major repivoting moves.
From business development capability point of view this creates major challenges. These companies need proper processes and also multitaskers in business development. People who can make choices of proper methods and are able to support execution of different kinds of business development projects.
